  • What Are The Norms For Joining Foreign Medical Universities?
  • - Candidates must have attained 17 years of age as on December 31st in the year of admission.
    - Passed 12th Grade with minimum 50% (40% for SC/ST/OBC) aggregate in Science subjects(Physics,Chemistry & Biology) is eligible for enrollment.
  • What Is The Medium Of Instruction?
  • The medium of instruction is ENGLISH.
  • Is There Any Entrance Examination Prior To Joining Mbbs Overseas?
  • No, Admission is granted on 12th Grade marks on a First Come First Serve basis.
  • What Is Eligibility Certificate And How Do I Get It?
  • For studying medicine abroad & to practice in India afterwards, you must get a Certificate of Eligibility from the Medical Council of India in New Delhi. Medigo Abroad will assist with documentation and filing with MCI.
  • What Is “World Health Organization” ?
  • The World Health Organization (WHO) is an International body. WHO publish a “Directory of Medical Institutes”, which is a list of Medical Colleges given to it by the Government of each Country.
  • What Are The Process Of Admission ?
  • STEPS : Visit Us / Counselling / Selection of University / Fill Application Forms / Registration Fee / Issuance of Admission & Invitation Letters / Medical Check Up / Submit Passport & Originals / MEA Attestations / Visa Documentation / Visa Stamping by Embassy / Air Travel / Arrive in Campus / Registration & Enrollment procedures / Hostel placements.
    The Entire Admission process usually take from 4-8 weeks.
  • WHAT ARE THE LIST OF THINGS TO CARRY?
  • ALL Original Documents, Laptop, Mobile, College bag, Basic Clothings, Woollen Clothings & Jackets (for cold countries), Toiletries, Hair oil, Shoes & Sandals, Iron box, Bed sheets, Basic medicines, Utensils & Spices (if self-cooking) etc
  • WHO WILL TRAVEL WITH ME?
  • In 1st year, We will accompany you all along with a batch of other students. University representatives will receive us at airport who will take us to the campus & help in settling down.
  • WHAT IS THE ACCOMMODATION GIVEN BY THE UNIVERSITY?
  • Students live in comfortable hostels provided by the University. There are rooms with 2/3 beds, attached bathroom and a common kitchen. Hostels are within the University campus or of close proximity.
  • CAN I STAY OUTSIDE?
  • You can rent a fully furnished apartment with your friends on a sharing basis. However, staying in University hostel is considered more safe.
  • HOW ARE THE LIVING CONDITIONS ABROAD?
  • The living conditions are considered VERY SAFE . They maintain good Law & Order. That is why many International Students go there. Our associates in the corresponding countries will assist you in time of need.
  • HOW TO TRANSFER MONEY FROM INDIA?
  • Either take US Dollars from Authorized FOREX Dealers for fees and expenses in the 1st year / Open a Bank account in India with an International ATM Card. This is the best way to transfer money from India. You can also open an account overseas & take local ATM card.
  • CAN I WORK PART-TIME WHILE STUDYING?
  • STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED. You are on a student visa, which does not allow any type of employment. Immigration Dept has the rights to deport you if they find you at work. Students are advised to spend their time on studies.
  • CAN MY PARENTS VISIT ME?
  • Parents / Relatives / Friends can visit you at any time. Tourist Invitations & Visa can be arranged.
  • HOW OFTEN CAN I TRAVEL BACK HOME?
  • Once / Twice a year. Most students return home during the summer vacation (6-8 weeks) in July, August. Some students travel during Christmas & New Year Holidays (2-3 weeks). Some travel in both & few stay back. It depends on your personal wish & financial conditions.
  • WHAT IS THE SCREENING TEST?
  • After successful completion, you have to appear for a “Screening test” conducted by the National Board of Education (NBE). It’s an Online exam conducted across major cities in India twice a year; usually on the last weekend of June & December. Test consists of 300 multiple choice questions in two sessions(2 ½ hrs), passing mark is 50%, with no negative markings.
    There are NO LIMITS on the number of attempts for the test. A sincere student can pass the test in the 1st attempt. Coaching & FREE Study materials are provided by Medigo.
  • CAN I GET A JOB IN GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL IN INDIA?
  • YES. After registering with the MCI, you are a Qualified Doctor. You are eligible to apply for Government / Private sector jobs / start your own Clinic.
  • CAN I DO POST GRADUATION IN INDIA?IN ABROAD?
  • BOTH, YES. After Completion, you can pursue PG in India/abroad. PG courses usually take 2 to 3 years for completion.
  • CAN I DO INTERNSHIP ABROAD?
  • NO. After clearing MCI test, you can apply for Internship placements in India. Candidates are strongly advised to join in Government Hospitals for the 1yr “Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship”(CRRI) program as the training is the MOST IMPORTANT period needed to consolidate the practical experience and theoretical knowledge of new GRADUATES.
  • AM I ELIGIBLE TO APPEAR FOR USMLE / PLAB (UK Exam)?
  • YES. You are eligible to appear for these exams as all of our Universities are listed in the Directory of WHO.
  • CAN I WORK ABROAD?
  • YES, Definitely. After completion, you need to comply with the rules of the Medical Council of the country where you wish to work in.
